Hannah Cross jewellery is for those who covet the beautifully made and understated. Following the principle of "Less is more" my jewellery makes a statement with clever design and fine craftsmanship. Inspiration comes from nature, places, cultures and people.

Collections hold pieces for every customer be it everyday jewellery which becomes an integral part of any wardrobe and an extension of self or special occasion finery for a signature accent. It is jewellery to be noticed, enjoyed, and treasured.

Hannah

Born in New Zealand and creative since a young age, a career in the design industry was inevitable. Favourite subjects at school were always creatively focused and hobbies included anything crafty. It was during a school holiday program at aged sixteen that I first dabbled in a goldsmithing course, loving the handmade nature of the craft. 

After completing the study of Interior Architecture, I wasn't satisfied with the idea of doing computer based work for my career, this lead to me to rethinking my options and I re-discovering the art of goldsmithing. The tangible nature was far more appealing than being limited to working on a screen. I studied for three years at the world renown Peter Minturn Goldsmith school in Auckland, graduating in 2015 with an advanced diploma in Goldsmithing. From there I honed my craft working for a leading Auckland Jewellers gaining further skills and knowledge of the industry. 

Encouraged by peers and colleagues I set up my own workshop in 2017 - launching my own business. Now with over 10 years in the goldsmithing industry I have a vast portfolio of pieces and am lucky to have many loyal returning clients.

Just as passionate as at sixteen every piece is lovingly handmade or 'Han-made' as I like to say. With a focus on using the best materials  - precious metals, recycled whenever possible for the most sustainable outcome and gemstones bought from local and reputable sources with close supplier relationships to insure they're conflict free.
